Usagi and Rei transform and break down the door, only to fall prey to another illusion. The Dream Princess quickly traps everyone, including Ami, in an illusion and steals their energy. The length of the train ride prevents the girls from arriving at the castle on time, leading Ami to investigate on her own. Rei and Mamoru bond over making fun of Usagi, who gets royally peeved and completely upsets Mamoru in her response. Usagi decides to “investigate” a train ride, leading to her bumping (literally) into Mamoru during a sudden stop. This ends in disaster as Rei’s attempt to stop a child from riding a bear leads into Usagi and Rei literally pulling the child back and forth until his mother intervenes. After the Dream Princess invites them to a candy tasting in the park’s castle, the group splits up, with Ami and Luna taking one part of the park and Usagi and Rei deciding to spy on the Dream Princess. Rei immediately senses an evil aura and distrusts her and her animals. When Usagi meets a group of lifelike, talking animatronics, the trio is introduced to the park’s mascot, the Dream Princess. Inside, Usagi is far more interested in goofing off than doing her job. As the group enters, Jadeite, disguised as a security guard, throws out a group of reporters trying to find out what happened to the missing people.
They finally agree to investigate the mysterious disappearances at a new theme park, Dreamnland. Plot Summary: Luna, initially elated at having a three-person team, is disappointed at how quickly Usagi and Rei fall to bickering. Rei? A Nightmare in DreamlandĪka: “The one where two teenage girls play tug of war with a five year old.” SEE you in your nightmares!
